Pockelo Privacy Policy

1. Data We Collect

Pockelo stores all loyalty card data — including card names, barcode values, notes, colors, and custom logo images — locally on your device using an on-device database. No personal data leaves your device unless you explicitly initiate an export or share.

We do NOT collect analytics, usage statistics, or location data. No user account or registration is required.

2. Camera Usage

Pockelo requests permission to access your device's camera solely to scan loyalty card barcodes and QR codes. Camera frames are processed in real time on the device. No images or video are recorded, stored, or transmitted anywhere.

You may deny camera permission and still use the app by entering barcode values manually.

3. Import and Export

Pockelo allows you to export your card data to a backup file and import from such a file. These operations are entirely user-initiated:

• Export: Creates a backup file and presents it to the system Share Sheet. You control where the file goes.
• Import: Reads a file you select from your device's file system. The file is processed locally.
• Share single card: Creates a file for one card and presents the system Share Sheet.

The developer has no access to any files you export or share.

4. Advertising

Pockelo displays banner advertisements provided by Google AdMob (Google LLC). The app itself does not share your loyalty card data with Google. However, the AdMob SDK integrated into the app may collect and process certain device and usage information to serve relevant advertisements, including:

• Device identifiers (e.g. advertising ID)
• IP address
• Approximate location (country/region level, derived from IP address)
• Information about how the app is used

This data collection and processing is governed by Google's Privacy Policy.

5. Consent for Personalized Advertising (GDPR / EEA)

For users in the European Economic Area (EEA), the United Kingdom, or other regions where consent for personalized advertising is legally required, Pockelo uses the Google User Messaging Platform (UMP) to collect your consent before loading personalized ads.

• A consent form is presented on first launch if required for your region.
• You can update your advertising preferences at any time via Settings → Ad privacy within the app.
• If you decline personalized ads, non-personalized ads may still be shown.

6. Legal Basis for Processing (GDPR)

We process your data based on the following legal grounds:

• Legitimate interest: To provide the core app functionality — storing and displaying your loyalty cards locally (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR).
• Consent: For personalized advertising via Google AdMob, collected through the UMP consent form (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR). You may withdraw consent at any time in Settings → Ad privacy.

7. Your Rights

Under the GDPR and applicable data protection laws, you have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you.
• Rectify inaccurate personal data.
• Erase your personal data ("right to be forgotten").
• Restrict or object to processing of your data.
• Data portability — receive your data in a portable format (use the Export feature in Settings).
• Withdraw consent at any time for personalized advertising.
• Lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

Because Pockelo stores all card data locally, you can exercise most of these rights directly within the app (by editing or deleting cards, or using the export feature). For data processed by Google AdMob, refer to Google's privacy controls.

To exercise any rights not addressable through the app itself, contact us at contact@deployit.ovh. We will respond within 30 days.

8. Data Retention

Local data is stored on your device until you uninstall the app or manually delete it. The developer has no access to this data and cannot delete it remotely.

9. Data Security

All card data is stored locally on your device. The security of that data depends on the security of your device (screen lock, full-disk encryption, etc.). We encourage you to use a strong screen lock and keep your device software up to date.

10. Children

Pockelo is not directed at children under the age of 13 (or the applicable minimum age in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the app, please contact us so we can take appropriate action.

11. Tracking and Advertising

Pockelo does NOT use any analytics services, crash reporting, or behavioral tracking. The only third-party service integrated is Google AdMob for banner advertising. We do not share loyalty card data with advertisers or data brokers.

13. Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top indicates when the latest changes were made. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
